![]() If you do not have a Mods folder follow these easy steps:ġ. Create a new folder (Right click>New Folder) in The Sims 3 folder. You cannot name the file anything else but “Mods"Ģ. (Just Click on Resource.Zip and it should start downloading.) You cannot skip this step, it’s very important. You can find the Resource.zip in Computer>OS (C:)>Users>(Your User)>Downloads. ![]() Zip folder, inside you’ll find the Resource.cfg - place this inside your newly created mods folder.ģ. Create a new folder inside the Mods folder called “Packages" You cannot name this anything else but Packages. Package files, so, with that being said place your. ![]() Package file Computer>OS (C:)>Users>(Your User)>Electronic Arts>The Sims 3>Mods> Packages. And that’s it, next time you load up your game your object should in fact be in game. If you already have a mods folder, double check you have the Resource.cfg file and a Packages folder- if you don’t complete steps 2 & 3 right above for those who didn’t have a Packages folder. Package files and are installed as such, they go in your Packages file. The safest place to get mods (and also the best place) is definitely ġ.
